PAY PHONE -CONTINUED

AND So the kids laughed and laughed at mommy, "what is she doing?" "Playing a video game" that big machine & why is she yelling at it?" I remember how to use this damn thing I think, placing my coins in and dialing the number.  Oh no nothing could be that easy, the rules have changed.  After inserting my coins I hear an automated voice "Please deposit an additional 35 cents" What? Why? No. I already inserted the coins three times, why can't I place this call?  Frustrated I do what we did in my day and I pull the retun change lever.  Of course It does not return any of my money.  O.K I am piseed off now.  I dial zero.  Now I am not so old that I expect Helen or Sarah to come on the line and cheerfully greet me and ask who I would like to be connected to," Hello Sara, put me through to Aunt bee or my husband would you?"  I politely tell the operator who is obviously not a nice lady, does not like her job and frankly is probably as surprised as I am that she still has a job operated by a human.  "Mam do you have another method of payment, perhaps a calling card?" a what I think, do people still have those? No I do not have a calling card/ She suggest I call collect.   Great, Good Idea
